May 19th is an important date in Turkey, celebrated as Atatürk Memorial, Youth and Sports Day. This day marks the anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's arrival in Samsun in 1919, which is considered the start of the war for independence. The day is dedicated to the youth, emphasizing the importance of their role in the future of the nation. Various events, including sports activities and commemorative ceremonies, take place across the country to honor Atatürk and inspire the younger generation.

April 23rd. National Sovereignty and Children's Day

We celebrated the National Sovereignty and Children's Day of the Republic of Türkiye! This special occasion honors the foundation of our nation and recognizes the importance of our children as the future of our society. We came together to embrace the spirit of unity, joy, and hope, and create lasting memories for the young ones who inspire us every day. Happy National Sovereignty and Children's Day!

Welcome to ATANOLA book club! We had a fantastic first meeting where we shared our thoughts on chosen book and enjoyed engaging discussions. It was great to connect with fellow book lovers, and we can't wait to dive into our next read together. Thank you to everyone who attended; your insights made our gathering truly special! "Gör Beni" from Azra Kohen was chosen. This book has Turkish and English versions whichever is suitable.

Next meeting will be on May 5th. at 6 pm. at Cafe Du Monde at City Park.
